As soon as you arrive in Thredbo, settling in at the stone and timber Melaleuca is made too easy as it is one of the rare Chalets in the Village center to provide two car-parking bays at entry level. The tedious job of checking in luggage, sport equipment and provisions is a breeze.

Once inside this spectacular Chalet there is an airlock utility room with bench seats and ski racks and a large separate drying cupboard. Entering the formal space of this spacious Chalet to the right is a bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet and to the left an inspiring kitchen that has under floor heating, a dishwasher, fridge, gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave and equipped with all the necessities for self-catering. The kitchen is surrounded by its own set of peak views of the parkland next door.

Moving forward is a large light filled open living and dining space with an exposed high ceiling, wood fire, gas heater and magnificent northerly views of the mountain and the Village Green below. There is a large breakfast bar that doubles as a food preparation area and an informal breakfast space for those in a rush to get up the mountain with the first chairlift.

The deluxe living area and two main bedrooms have generous balconies on the mountainside to bring you closer to the unique Thredbo habitat. And yes there is a barbecue on the balcony off the main living area for outdoor cooking and entertaining. A wide stairway leads up to a mezzanine Loft bedroom that has a Queen size bed, a sitting area complete with a foldout Futon ,TV and entertainment supplies. Mountain, main-street and park views are captured from this splendid space. A walk in robe off the sitting area leads to a toilet and vanity room.

On the lower ground level two bedrooms can convert to either a king size bed or two king singles with mountainside balcony access. The main bathroom just off from these bedrooms is surrounded by striking views of trees and parkland. The spacious bathroom has a corner spa, separate shower, vanity and toilet. And finally on this level there are the latest technology laundry facilities that promise to be gentle on high tech ski garments.

Although Melaleuca is designed with skiers and snowboarders in mind it is a flexible Chalet that easily accommodates those looking for a Summer Getaway or to attend the many Thredbo Festivals and Annual Events.
